Whitmer: Healthcare workers mandatory racial bias training

If Governor Whitmer has her way, if you live in Michigan and you work in the healthcare field, meaning, doctor, nurse, physician assistant, or dental hygienist, then you will need to training in how not to be racist.

During a press conference in July, the governor and Lt. governor outlined a new executive order that requires anyone applying for a license or renewing their license to work in health care to receive implicit bias training - one of the recommendations made by the state's coronavirus task force on racial disparities.

So there you have it. A new executive order that if you want to continue in your job as a healthcare professional that you are required to take racial bias training.
